Formentera, in 5 stages:
For Runners: Each day you run in a different location on the island, which allows you to get to know Formentera better.
Stages of 9, 8, 12, 8 and 21km.
For Walkers: same distances except for the half marathon, where the kilometers become 10.

For the Formentera To Run we thought we would offer you excellent comfort and relaxation with exclusive accommodation at the Club Maryland resort.
With or without flight.
7 nights in Hotel ( all-inclusive, drinks included) and scooter for two people.
ASSISTANCE
The route is totally marked.
With carton boards, ribbons and hi-visibility flags. This is patrolled by the organization's technical and medical assistance vehicles.
In case of need, consistent with the organization's schedule, it will be possible to be brought back to the finish line.

Formentera to Run - 1 - 8 June 2025
What is Formentera to Run?
FOREWORD:
As always the program has a limited number of participants and also for the next edition the numbers allowed will be 150 runners for the Formentera to Run stage program and 250 runners in addition for the Formentera Trail 21.1 on Saturday.
DESCRIPTION:
A magnificent vacation made of sea, sports and nature in the last Mediterranean paradise in the Balearic Islands, Formentera. An exclusive programme offering a week-long holiday and a sport event, with 5 running days in the most charming spots of the island.
The formula provides logistical accommodations for the entire group in a single facility on Mitjorn beach; it is a simple structure, consisting of large bungalows, allocated in the large pine forest that spans the entire area. It also has three large swimming pools.
An All Inclusive formula is provided, which in addition to meals and drinks, also includes free access to the hotel’s various bars for the consumption of soft drinks, beer, snacks, and ice cream, always available throughout the day.
The Formentera to Run is part of the stage races of the Zitoway Sport & Adventure in the sea environment.
The race

The formula is that of a stage race: in fact, there will be 5 different trials, almost entirely done on dirt and secondary roads, for a total of 60 km in 5 stages; the half marathon will be the longest.
Max number: 150 runners
There are 2 categories, unified and entitled to the same services:
– Runners. Competitive category that competes with the detection of the time taken and its final ranking. Max 150 runners
– Walkers. Non-competitive category without timekeeping and ranking, only the order of arrival. Max 30 walkers.
Due to safety and race control, walkers are EXPECTEDto walk until they are reached by the race head. After they can choose their pace.
Same route for all, but Walkers will start 30 minutes in advance. In the half marathon Walkers will walk only 10 km instead of 21.1. In order to participate in the walk, however, it is MANDATORY to be registered in the category, which has no timekeeping and no ranking, since it is exclusively organized hiking walks.
Both categories will be marked by the event bib, and will be assisted and insured.
Any accompanying persons not registered for the program will NOT be allowed to join the regularly formed group.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all participants in the Formentera Trail 21.1 on Saturday to run with a water reserve of at least 50 cc (water bottle on waist, Camelbak-type backpack on shoulders or simply a small bottle in hand).
In compliance with regional regulations imposed in the protected areas, no music will be allowed in the protected areas in the start/finish area. (Stage 2 and Stage 4)
Stages description:
1st stage approx. km 10.5 – Club Maryland. departure directly from the hotel.
Route characterized by a long stretch along the seafront with passages on sand, hard and uneven ground and some passages on the wooden walkways, typical of the island’s coastlines. In the inland the run is mainly on secondary dust roads.
2nd stage km 7.8 – Cap de Barbaria – Transfer about 20 km from the hotel Riu la Mola.
Route developed in the wildest area of the island, dirt roads and secondary asphalt sections, short but intense stage, positive altimetry of 122 mt.
Protected natural area where no music will be allowed in the start/finish area.
3rd stage km 12 approx. – Cala Saona – Transfer 20 km from the hotel Riu la Mola.
start near the hotel Cala Saona, dirt roads and slight ups and downs to the cliff of Punta Negra, on the cliff the rocky bottom is very rough. Elevation gain 160 mt.
4th stage approx. km 8 Savina – Plaja de ses Illetes – Transfer of approx. km 11 from the hotel Riu la Mola.
Departure close to the harbor of the Savina, in dirt road flanking the Saline park, followed by approx. 2 km of sandy bottom along the Levante beach, passage close to the Molin de Sal and descent into the Ponente beach with another km of sand, trial characterized by the long passages on the sand. Positive elevation 70 mt.
Protected natural area where it will not be possible to use music in the start/finish area.
5ª stage of around 21 km. Start from parking at Pilar de La Mola.
The last day if the stage program will be “Formentera Trail 21.1 ” (max. Number 250 runners, besides the ones in the Formentera to Run). It’s an entirely off road half marathon, featuring a 420 meters climb. This stage is also a single individual race, for those who register only to it, with a specific rank.
Participants in the 15th Formentera to Run will also be ranked in the individual ranking Formentera Trail 21.1.
The route starts from the parking lot and after a section leading to the La Mola Lighthouse, descends along the Es Estufadòr trail to the beach of the Mitjorn, and then ascends along the Camino Romano to the arrival. Difficulties are given by the terrain, varoiously jagged and demanding and by the climb (420 mt). In addition to the end-of-trial refreshment, water points are provided at km 6, 11 and about km 16.
Strongly recommended for all registrants to arrive at the start with a water reserve of at least 50 cc. with waist water bottle or water backpack: in case of high temperatures, the three refreshments may not be sufficient for fluid needs.
Strongly recommended to bring a cell phone with them: a useful emergency number will be indicated in the bib in case of urgent need.
Walkers will start at the back of the group directly and their route will be reduced to about 10.00 km.
NOTE: The total distance is about 60 km to be run in 5 days. Friday is a rest day. The itinerary is almost totally off road and well marked. Water points are all at the end of each stage, except for the 3rd stage (12,2 km) with a half-distance refreshment, and for the 5th stage (21.1 km,Formentera Trail 21.1) where four refreshments are arranged.
EXTRA SERVICES: at each stage a morning breakfast supplement service and a rich buffet at the end of the stage will be organized by the organization. In the Formentera Trail 21.1 the final refreshment will also be supplemented by lunch available for all registered participants.
SPECIAL PRICE ON PERSONALIZED PHOTO AND VIDEO SERVICE When registering, it will be possible to book the Formentera to Run personalized photo and video service with a 50% discount, i.e. € 50 instead of € 100 (price of the service requested directly on site).
IMPORTANT
IN RESPECT OF THOSE WHO HAVE REGULARLY REGISTERED FOR THE PROGRAM, THE RUN OR WALK IS RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THOSE REGISTERED WITH A BIB. ANY ACCOMPANYING PERSONS WHO DO NOT HAVE A REGULAR BIB ID, WILL BE ASKED NOT TO USE THE TRAILS DURING THE RACE.
ALL SERVICES IN THE RACE AND AFTER THE RACE ARE RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR PARTICIPANTS WITH BIBS.

INSOTEL CLUB MARYLAND
The formula provides accommodation in the Club Maryland facility, located on Mitjorn beach. It is a simple resort (3-star category), consisting of spacious bungalows, built in a large pine forest that stretches across the entire resort area. There are also at the disposal of three large swimming pools.
The rooms are simple but comfortable, consisting of one bedroom, a living room with sofa bed, mini fridge and microwave oven, satellite TV, ceiling fan, and terrace or balcony. Two independent sleeping areas are actually available, optimal for double room accommodations in combination with other participants. Suitable for families with children, for whom very attractive quotations are provided.
The All Inclusive formula is provided, which in addition to meals and drinks, also allows free access to the hotel’s various bars for the consumption of soft drinks, beer, snacks, and ice cream, which are always available throughout the day.

Flights and Transfers:
Programs involving direct flights from Italy, from the various connected airports, also include bus transfers required to reach the port in Ibiza, and the ‘hotel in Formentera. Ferry Ibiza – Formentera (30 minutes) turnaround is included.
It is possible to purchase all programs with the “Without Flight” option, in which case all bus transfers and the ferry are excluded in addition to the flight.
VEHICLES:
Included in the package is already the use of one scooter for every two people; one will be assigned to each room. The vehicles are all approved 2-seater. These means best ensure mobility to reach every corner of the small island.
For single room applicants, it is mandatory to request a scooter for individual use, which can be used for a small additional fee, this option is extendable to all members, it is also possible to request a rental car as an alternative to the scooter with an additional fee.
Both for scooters and cars showing a driving license is MANDATORY.

- Departure of flight to Ibiza and subsequent transfer of participants by bus to the port of Ibiza (only for package with flight).
- Departure of boat destination Formentera, A/R crossing ticket is already included (only for package with flight).
- Arrival at the port of La Savina in Formentera, transfer by bus to the Maryland hotel (flight package only), registration and bungalow assignment.

All athletes who started, including those in the NB Formentera to Run stage race will be classified in the individual race. Walkers will have a reduced distance of about 10.00 km. - 11 a.m. Start of lunch service.

Scooter and car return in the afternoon.

This is the only accommodation provided for the Formentera To Run. Located on Mitjorn beach, it features a simple layout that is particularly suitable for sporty clientele and families with children. The rooms consist of simple but comfortable bungalows, consisting of a bedroom and separate living room with two sofa beds. They have a microwave oven, minibar, satellite TV, ceiling fan, and terrace or balcony. - Is there internet in the accommodations? No connection is available in the bungalows, but it can be found in the reception and pool areas.

- What is served as meals ? The buffet restaurant will offer a wide selection of meals: meat, fish, pasta, rice, vegetables, bread, pizza, cheese and desserts.
