The salt marshes and beaches of Illetes protagonists of the fourth stage of the Formentera To Run 2026
A route between crystal clear sea, history and nature in the heart of the Ses Salines Natural Park
The fourth stage of the Formentera To Run 2026 today took participants to one of the most iconic and photographed corners of the island: the peninsula of Es Trucadors and the spectacular beaches of Illetes.
On a course of nearly 8 kilometers, runners crossed some of Formentera’s most iconic landscapes, running through white sand, turquoise sea and paths that develop within the Ses Salines Natural Park.
The stage touched on iconic places such as Es Ministre, Levante Beach and Formentera’s historic salt pans, which have been an integral part of the island’s identity and economy for centuries. A unique environment where the presence of man and the preservation of nature coexist in perfect balance.
One of the most evocative passages of the route was near Molino de la Sal, an old mill built in the 18th century to support the salt business and now transformed into one of Formentera’s most prestigious restaurants. Its privileged position, overlooking the salt pans and the Mediterranean, represents one of the most characteristic views of the island.
After reaching the Ponente beach, participants returned along the coast, accompanied by continuous sea views and the unique hues that make this stretch of Formentera famous worldwide.
More than just a race, this fourth stage also confirmed the spirit of the Formentera To Run: experiencing the island by running through its most authentic landscapes, discovering new places and new emotions every day.
With only one stage still to go before the grand finale, anticipation is growing to know the winners of this edition, as participants continue to enjoy an experience that combines sports, nature and land discovery in a truly unique setting.
